Ride 4 Warmth--Sunday December 9th

There's a ride coming up, put on by the Paseo Strays. Here's the info:

There's a myspace with further info here: http://myspace.com/ride4this
Let's see how many peeps in colors we can get to reprazent, eh?
RACE WAS AWESOME!

Big thanks to all you peeps who showed up to race, and a bigger thanks to all of the rad volunteers that loitered outside grocery stores and made the race work so well.
We had 56 racers show up, and 15 of those racers were girls. and 100% of those girls were the most badass girls you've ever seen (aside from the girls that volunteered to help out and run checkpoints, of course).
I'd also like to point out the generosity of some local establishments--I've heard that most of the store employees that came into contact with racers were very impressed with the idea and with the enthusiasm of everyone involved, and the owner of Super Cao Nguyen has donated a can to the food bank for every racer that visited his store!
Sauced really came through, providing at least a half dozen pizzas to the hungry racers, $40 in gift certificates, and priceless friendship and support to the local community. When I tried to pay for the pizzas Ed said whatever we gave him he was going to turn around and give to the food bank--which meant $131 was donated, in addition to the 336 pounds of food--according to the food bank, we provided 1179 meals to the hungry in Oklahoma--not bad for a bunch of constantly drunk dirtbags that advertise with man cards, eh?
The main point of the race was not to win bitchin' schwag, but congrats nevertheless to KW, Nick, Caleb and Traci for bringin home some phat loot with your riding/wrecking skillz. I'd like to point out that while 4 Bone Shakers won prizes, only 2 hellkats snagged prizes...maybe next time pretty boys ;)
For all you boneshakers with some cash looking to buy xmas presents for your family members/favorite webmasters, consider dropping some dough at the following sponsors of the race and let 'em know how much you appreciated their support of the hungry in Oklahoma:

and if you're really eager to see some hot alleycat action, here's some awesome photos that these killer dudes (and chick) from Tulsa snapped from the back of a moving vehicle:

Gah that was a lot of links and stuff.
P.S. If you have photos of the race, send 'em my way: 405boneshakers@gmail.com
P.P.S. Thinkin about making some shirts for earth day that say 422 RIDE BIKES EVERY DAY
I think one of Caleb's friends can help us out, and we could probably sell them to people that like the earth/bicycles/not being a douchebag. any takers?
Need to Get the Word Out on the Alleycat!

HELLZ YEAH! Brian, Ken and I have prepared a pretty bitchin' food drive/alleycat, we just need to spread the word. Print the above on flyers, posters, tell all your friends (j/k you don't have any friends lol), tattoo it on your forehead, whatever.
A Sunday Sermon For Y'all

Given that it's Sunday and everything, thought I might leave you guys this:

And that, dear children, is the story of why your chain always falls off.
getting organized
Posted October 18th, 2007 by okcdirtbagwell it's been decided that i am moving all the bikes to the backyard, the shed will become the new project room/work space.. i am goin to work on gettin lights and electricity in it so we can actually work in there.. the bikes will start to get organized in the back yard by what kind of bike they are.. also parts will remain in the garage.. once this is done if you don't clean up after yourself or at least make an attempt i will be forced to kick your ass and drag you by your genitals over broken molten glass...
that is all
resume the drinking
Alleycat on Saturday?

I caught rumor of a Saturday OKC alleycat. This would probably be a great chance to have everyone show up in colors and do some fun stuff. Anybody have any details? Either post 'em via comment or write a blog post/story/whatever. Phillip you should bring the Tulsa kids down and I'll work on getting the Norman kids there.
Also, I moved the login box to a more reasonable place (I didn't realize it was at the bottom of the content pane. my bad.)
JOUSTS N SHIT

Just so I don't catch flack for it on Friday, I'm gonna go ahead and announce the absolute last minute joust that got planned for tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon on the South Oval in Norman.
Some news thing or something wants to do a piece on bike jousting, so I had to organize something real quick. Probably going to be small and won't run for more than an hour or so.
